How to get a dress shirt collar to stand up after washing like it's new?

Anyone know where these can be purchased in Toronto and/or shipped to Canada for a reasonable price? Shipping cost is almost as much as the stays themselves.

Can anyone here vouch for the power stays? I just got this Michael Kors shirt which makes me look like it's disco time.

I work in a non-jacket place. Life would be simpler if I wore a suit everyday.

I read where one shirtmaker suggested wearing the collar with the top button fastened for 10-15 min at the start of the day, to "set" the way the collar sits. I've tried this and it does seem to help.

Is this example really that bad?

take your shirts to the cleaners and have them laundered, no starch. then take all the time that you would've spent on an obsessive, hand wash with woolite, line dry with the top button done, iron when still damp, lie flat routine, and do something manly, like grill a steak or do some curls. problem solved.

I have the same reaction!

I don't see anything that bad for that picture.

My cheaper shirts have this problem as stated above. BB, RL Polo Regent, even basic RL Polo shirts are holding up quite differently.

Wash on gentle cycle, hang dry with top button buttoned. No ironing.
