I showed that to my friends six months ago, its creepily effective. This whimsical method of folding still baffles me.

It's supposedly a training video for a major japanese department store. FYI

Well, I did try at home and it worked. But it left a little dimple where I pinched it. maybe my technique will improve with practice.

I practiced last night and now can do it. The secret is not to pinch the middle, but to merely hold on to it (and straighten it out at the end).

Here are some tips that I have deducted from many practices: When you "pinch" the shirt, do not pinch it so tightly (as GQ Lawyer has noted). The position you pinch the shirt and the line that it relates to at the top seam is the most important part. Pinching higher (closer to armpit) allows you to stretch the shirt farther when folding it over your arm, thus creating a tighter rectangle. To make the fold symmetrical, grab the top seam closer to the collar than to the shoulder. If you have more space on the right side, you are pulling from too close to the shoulder. If you have more space on the left side, you are pulling to close to the collar. Many hours at the office have been killed by practicing this.

But just think of the doors you have now opened up in your future career if they fire you there due to 1) Indecent exposure (PUT THAT SHIRT BACK ON&#33

and 2) Missing dealines while practicing this

Would it be considered sexual harassment if I said to my boss, "Take off your shirt, and witness my ultimate Japanese folding technique."
