How to fix my raw denim?

I have a pair of Gucci Raw Denim Jeans.

I have been wearing them for about 4 months now.
Over this course I have not washed or done anything to them. My problem is, however, that they have stretched out a bit and are too "full" for my liking now.

Should i wash or soak these or anything to shrink them back to original? Or must I go to a tailor? If so how much should I look to spend around?

Thanks.

If you soak/wash them, they'll just stretch right back out again after shrinking.

A warm/hot soak will shrink them back to the original size. They will periodically stretch back, but you can just soak them again. No need to go to a tailor.

I'm having the same problem... I've worn a pair of Nudies for 5 months, and they are wider and longer. From what I've heard, if you soak them they will just stretch back out & they will lose what little stiffness they still have.

(1) turn on hot water

(2) stick jeans in the hot water

(3) hang dry

(4) wear

Or you can tumble dry for even a great shrinkage.

I have the opposite problem. is there a way to counter-act shrinkage other than going back in time?

When you're done soaking your jeans, pull on them where you want don't want them to shrink. It works. And to the OP, next time instead of making a thread for a small question, post here and here first. If you don't get an answer, THEN you make a new thread.

I'd try cold soaking first. I don't know what the shrinking properties are of Gucci jeans, but with many jeans, a cold soak will return it to its original size, and a hot soak will shrink it beyond its original size. If you were happy with how they fit when you purchased them, I'd try a cold soak first, or a soak with room-temperature water at best. If that isn't enough, you can always re-soak them in hot water.

The raw denim always shrinks or strech/expands,,,.
That's why choosing the right size is very important.

If you wanna make it shrink, I would just tumble dry, as suggested above.
But the process of "breaking in" finishes then, and if that's the case, colour fading wouldn't be as good as, for instance, wearing a year without wash.

I would wear little bit more, let's say 6months, then wash?

Good luck!

As important as it is to choose the right size, it's also important to care for the jeans and not submit them to situations where they might get dirty or ruined though if this was foreseenable we wouldn't be having a word in this thread in the first place. I do my best not to wash them frequently anyway
