When you're dating a girl for an extended period of time, what's the best way to tell if you actually love her or if you're just used to and trust each other? Or do women just pretend to be crazy for you because women will do that with any guy that showers them with affection and feeds her chocolate?

And what's the best way to stay with a girl but never ever let feelings complicate your manly destiny of ********** with every woman possible during the course of your lifetime? Giving up that destiny would certainly lead to horrible depression, yes?

To me, love to a man is something built up over time. But love to a woman is something that happens quickly but will fade without notice four years down the road leaving you in an empty apartment with a bottle of McNaughton glued to your hand.

Sorry if that sounded like some stream of consciousness crap.

I'm not sure I agree with any of your premises.

I heard a quote once "don't mistake being comfortable for being in love." I think with the current GF, I might be in 'comfort.' Depending on your morals, you can still hook up with other girls throughout your life...just know that might bite you ********** one day. You'll think everything's OK, and then one Tuesday afternoon it could all come crashing down. Ever read 'Guts' by Chuck P? If you have, remember the 'carrot' that hangs over the kids head, everyday, for the rest of his life? You never know when it might catch up to you. A solution would be to have your GF be someone you're comfortable with and could see living with forever, but aren't totally enthralled with. Heck, even if you are enthralled with her, it'll probably fade eventually.
