I want to dye the holes of my light tan brogues black, to accent the holes - any ideas? I tried using black shoe cream on a cotton bud (very time consuming!) but after a couple of polishes of the shoes themselves, the black dye has virtually disappeared and the holes are back to tan .. . ideas welcome!

'Don't' It's the best idea so far! Have to say they looked better, albeit briefly, when the holes were darkened and thus more noticeable, but it didn't last - I guess because the leather beneath the holes is the same, whilst some that have darker holes appear to be coated in some sort of black material, which I assume is some form of glue on the leather to support the stitching?
Thanks for your posts - any others welcome.

Leather dye, a fine tip art brush, a steady hand, and extreme patience.

I would NEVER attempt this. If you do, you better post pics of the process.

Good tip! Not sure if I'm getting the jitters about doing it though now, although I did it with shoe cream on a bud so mentally I am prepared! Perhaps I'll try it first on a hole near the heel that can't be seen. Will let you know. . . thanks for the tips!
