    hey guys,
i have a vague knowledge of style and dress, but i think i need to learn alot more about how to dress to my size. i am 18, thin athletic build, 5"10, shortish legs.
my chest is 40, waist 31, and shoulder to waist is about 23.
just wanted to get some dress tips to look real good for my size and for the last weeks of winter and headin into spring [IMG] ... if its any assistance on my current 'style', if im going to the shops i will wear long skinny jeans (very light coloured), and a jayjays shirt with shoes from gluestore by urge. i know it seems a bit like i know what im doing but i wanted more of a formal approach ..
    thanks in advance

Sounds like you're in Australia. As a start, head over to the Streetwear and Denim section and check out the WAYWT thread. Look for guys that have the same build as you and pick up some pointers.

lose two inches in your chest, will make your life easier when buying a suit. sure you could alter the pants but thats a pain, and more likely than not the sleeves on a 40R will be to long for you...at least in my experience (i use to be 5 10, 40 chest, 30 waist, now 38 chest life is easier)

I'd rather be an Adonis than an anorexic.

I'd rather be normal than either.

To help OP, it is hard to find slim fitting jackets in Australia on a budget (most of the stuff is cut for rugby players). What kind of look are you going for? Something casual for streetwear or something a little more formal.
