The thread may be active, but the listing will be inactive - aka no one can inadvertently paypal you money for the item.

Cheers,

Fok.

Once the resource is sold or removed from the sale, removing it from active or achieving it into a "sold" section would be ideal. This way, inactive resources (with increasing numbers over the time) will not clog the active listings.

OK...read page 1 and 6-7 trying to figure out how to get a cover image for my ad - to no avail. Can someone point me to the most current/relevant way to do this?
At the bottom of the fields, as you list everything, you will see this:

upload_2017-5-5_8-55-50.png

Check Upload resource icon (and it really doesn't need to be 96x96,) and bam, when you hit save, you get this:

upload_2017-5-5_8-58-3.png

and you can choose a file from your directories. Me, I chose a picture of my friend and training partner, Dave "Wolverine" Pearson, who recently won his pro debut in impressive fashion, a first round submission finish over a guy from a camp with multiple UFC fighters, including two TUF winners, and one championship contender. Look out for him. He is better than I ever was on the ground, has improving standup. is ridiculously strong and durable, and has great potential at 205 lbs. Sparring with him is like going through a thresher.

New rules now posted in B&S:

Please heed the following rules - these will change as the system evolves, so please check back here frequently. Not following these rules may result in your listing(s) be deketed without warning. Multiple infractions may result in your buy and sell privileges being rescinded.

1. Please only list a single item, or multiple items of the EXACT same price, in any one listing, and preferably allow buyers to pay via Paypal.
2. You may not refer to , or link out, to a third party site. The sole exception is to a single Ebay auction isting for for the same item, since we do not have auction capabilities
3. You are only allowed to "bump" your item once a week (every 7 days). The only exception right now is a price drop of at least 5%. This may change in the future as our functionality improves.
Not a rule, but having a frontpage "resource image" is highly recommended.

Finally, note that Styleforum does not charge any fee for use of this service, nor do we store sensitive information on this system.. Therefore, we cannot be involved in disputes concerning private transactions between members. Please do report any case of suspected fraud to styleforum.net at gmail.com. Any feedback or suggestions should be postedhere:https://www.styleforum.net/threads/...d-and-posting-into-the-new-b-s-system.541288/

Enjoy!

Hi @LA Guy, do we need to create a resource update in order to bump a listing once a week? If B&S decides to continue this bumping tradition it'll be great if this can be done automatically, through an opt-in during create/edit a resource with an additional dropdown menu for preferred bumping Date (Mon, Tue...) and Time. Or at least there should be both easily visible aging and a bump button in our resources page to enable this task manually. It's quickly becoming daunting to keep track of the weekly bump allowance for all the listings. Thanks

Yes, in the future it will become automated, but for the time being, it is not. My hope was not automate all of the rules, but that takes considerable development time, and people, being people, wanted it, and they wanted it now! So, sometimes you get what you wish for. If occasionally, you are a day early, we will be lenient with that. However, if there is a blatant disregard for the rules, or a pattern of skirting the line, then we'll have to act accordingly.

The rules are there to protect everyone, sellers and buyers alike. In the past, we've rarely had issues, but when we do, it's easy enough to deal with them. I should have mentioned our "moderator annoyance fee." Habitual rule breakers who argue with the moderators will be levied a fee of $1000 to use the system, which will be used for nice things for the mods, who have to deal with that person's BS. If anyone chooses to not pay the fee to use B&S again, and we catch them, the fine will go up to $2000, and so on, in $1000 increments.

Cheers,

Fok.

I see the BIN button, so all's well there!

Im afraid I'm not sure how to help with your pictures. Did you use the "Upload Pictures" button at the bottom of the listing?
sure did. now i'm not sure what to do. i have the photos ready to go and now have a listing without them...

You can edit the listing and add them. I'm not sure I know what happened during your initial listing, sorry.

Could be. The maximum image size is 10 MB though - pretty big already ... How big are your images? Maybe hit "full image" before trying compression?

yup, sizing issue. went and resized all my photos and it worked. odd that it wouldn't give me any kind of warning that i had reached max size before.

thanks!
