Hey everyone,

I've been a lurker here for a while now, but only now decided to register and post as I need your help!

I recently purchase these suede drivers from Gucci and i absolutely love them.

The problem is that I got them as 8.5 which fit snug. However, I'm wondering if I should get 9's. I remember when I tried on the 9s there was a lot of heel slippage, but they felt more comfortable because they weren't snug like the 8.5.

My initial thought was that with usage, they are likely to expand/stretch in accordance with my feet and be perfect. However, I just wanted to be sure that these kind of drivers can actually expand, or if any of you believe I should exchange for the 9 and allow for the heel to over time curve and fix the slippage problem to some extent.

Thanks :)

it will stretch.

that pair is rubber sole driver so i think heel slippage isnt due to a brand new hard sole, but due to excess length.

Thanks for the reply chogall. Anyone else agree with him? I'm at the moment aiming towards keeping the 8.5 and hoping they stretch.

Absolutely agree with Chogall.

If you want to spead up the stretching process wear them around the house for a few hours here and there with extra thick socks.

great idea Gdot! I'm doing that right now as I type this.

Do you think I should use shoe-stretchers and that spray thing or better not risk it?

I wouldn't go that far. Gucci uses nice pliable leathers. You will probably end up in good shape quicker than you think just stretching them with socks.

Agreed, I prefer slip-on shoes to be a little tight because the do stretch and I find that normal fitting shoes begin to slop after a while when they begin to stretch and get worn in.

Heel slippage is not something you want, it may feel fine at first bit it can very quickly become irritating or even start to make your heel sore.
