How often do you wear your fine wool suits?

Hello there,

I just got a couple of suits made. Most of them are Super 130s. I love them and I would love to wear them on rotation to the office.

Should I refrain from doing so because of how fragile they are? How often do you personally wear your suits that are above 120s?

Thanks in advance!

It is better you wear it one day, then rest for one day.

For hand-made full canvas suit, it would be ok after the rest for one night.

Great news, they do are handmade full canvas. Thanks a ton Michell!

Fragile is certainly one thing that they are not! Suits are to be worn, not stared at as if some precious jewel. Just get on and wear them but not Mitchell's advice which is key.

Avoid the temptation to have then dry cleaned regularly as well. The only time that dry clean is necessary will be when the waiter spills soup on the back of your coat - then his employer can have the privilege of paying for it.

A regularly light brushing is all that is required, not immersion in strong chemicals which simply damages wool.

Second GBR. Suits are to be worn. 150s is delicate; 130s is in the middle. Also agree on minimal dry cleaning. Your tailor should be able to spot clean and press your garment.

If durability is such a concern for you, next time pick lower thread count, and heavier weight.
