out of your price range but worth it:

I just ordered my second C&J suede belt. This one is coming from Plal (first one was from Ben Silver) and is running me about $130 or so with shipping IIRC.

A few hundred for a RL croc (or is it ali?), but even then that is a sale price. I think $200 for regular leather but it would have to be special. I paid $100 for a horse hair belt died green with a nice square outline nickle buckle. I do seem to find nice belts on sale.....

Just bought a Gucci belt in Harvey Nic's sale for £70, 50% reduction. I have had a Mulberry belt since 1988, hope this one wears as well

    $1000.

I don't mind paying high amounts for accessories, but sometimes I do mind paying money for things like shirts.

I think I'm going to order one. I was hoping for a silver buckle, but what the hell. Glad Plal has it . . . to be honest, I've always been a little disappointed with the service I've received from Ben Silver's (especially given their prices).

I believe € 180 for a Santoni belt matching my Santoni shoes is the most I ever spend on a belt.

I would have preferred a silver buckle as well..oh well. I do love the belt though.

Probably $100. Maybe up to $150 or $200 if it was a great alligator/crocodile belt that I thought I'd get a lot of wear out of, but I haven't seen that one yet. But the most I've ever spent on a belt (for me) is somewhere around $50.

    Wait, you smell that?
Heck, I'm wearing a $15 dockers belt from JC Penny 6 years ago that matches quite nicely with my burgundy/oxblood colored shoes.

I really can't see myself spending more than $100.

Unless, of course, it starts raining money.

Can you name some examples? Thanks,
Sorry, I didn't note who made them. Just items I saw in the city. There were plenty of decent belts in the $50. and less racks at Nordstom and Macy's. I wouldn't wear them, but they were servicable. It's difficult for me to understand why anyone would spend a great deal of money on a pair of shoes and neglect their belt.
