if this isn't spam...

you're only supposed to lose 2 pounds and maintain general good health. everything else is water.

1 pound is roughly 2,000 calories.

the minimum you can eat (and stay healthy) with calories is somewhere between 1.2K ~ 1.5K

going with the lower range: 800x5=4,000 calories.

1 pound is roughly 3,500 calories. Honestly, I'm not quite sure where we arrived at this maximum of two pounds a week as the healthiest amount for weight loss. I've read of people that have lost 5-6 pounds a week to no ill effect. Granted, generally the heavier you are, the more weight you'll be losing initially.

Most of that being lost is just water and lean body mass. The goal of most people is to lose fat and when they lose weight, they think it is fat.

Losing fat comes pretty much down to physiology.

I would caution you not to lose more than 2-3 lbs per week. Eat approximately 2000 kcal per day. High protein, moderate fat, low carb. diet. Carbs sabotage your weight loss more than anything. Spike your blood sugar- make you store fat. Avoid them except post workout. As far as exercise, implement some basic lifting (bench, squat, clean, deadlift, row, military press, pull up) and do interval cardio (sprints interval with walking, the "hill trainer" on most exercise bikes) or even just regular steady state cargo. Make sure you eat breakfast. Cut soda and diet soda. Even diet soda with no calories causes you to bloat. A few basic things to get you healthy. You'll shred fat faster than you would on any "miracle" diet.
