How much muscle mass affects fit?

I fluctuate between 175 and 190lbs but usually somewhere in the 185 range. My sportcoats have been fine BUT I did have them tailored when I was in the middle of my weight range.

If you do get muscular you will have to get clothes tailored. The big problem is that clothing isn't really made for people with a big drop (wide shoulders and narrow waist).

For the type of muscle mass the OP is talking about, this simply isn't true. There's a significant amount of muscle gain needed to add that kind of bulk to traps, lats and deltoids. He's not going to be Dwayne Johnson. The OP is talking about adding about 10lbs of muscle mass on a skinny frame - he's not going to turn into an NFL defensive end.

10 lbs of lean mass is a lot. I'm not even that big but have to get stuff tailored down that way a ton because of my drop.
