How much fish is too much fish in your diet?

I've recently realized how much fish I've been consuming each day for the past month. Each day, I eat a can of tuna (at least). I also eat fish tacos/burritos once or twice a week. I also eat sushi once a week. Also when I am cooking, I find myself buying tilapia, blue fish, and salmon over beef, pork, or chicken. Am I paranoid for being concerned about mercury poisoning?

I don't worry about eating too much fish.

I only have fish about once a week now. Definitely because of the mercury issue.

well, not everyone is as well informed as you.

let say you are driving down a dark road. you cant see where the road ends so everyone hesitates driving down further.

then someone comes along who's been there informs them there is no need to worry, keep driving down the road it is a through street.

that is it, basically.

I thought this thread was about fish. Fish don't drive, do they?

Who gives a damn how dark it is when there's well-lighted road signs everywhere that say 'QUIT WORRYING ABOUT DUMB ****'.

Doesn't it depend on the kind of fish you eat? Even canned tuna they recommend flaked light tuna instead of all the others. Also tilapia I heard was not recommended but salmon was cool.

I would be careful with the Tilapia (tasteless trash fish to begin with) and how many cans of tuna you eat. If you are gonna eat a load of salmon eat non farm raised. I would fit more fish variety in your diet. Less white fishes. Get some Mackerel or something.

Tilapia has very low levels of mercury. Its flavor depends a lot on which species it is, how and where it was raised, etc. It doesn't have a potent taste like salmon, but its mild flavor can be an asset.

youd have to eat half an ocean to get mercury poisoning

you have a better chance of getting mercury poison from vaccines as i understand it
