How much fabric turned up for trouser hem?

I have noticed the vast majority of my pants have two inches of excess fabric turned up when hemmed. However, I picked up a pair from a different tailor in a different city and noticed the amount of excess was about an inch and a half.

Is two inches considered standard? Perhaps this new tailor made a mistake and had to re-do the hem?

In any event, the length is fine and the pants drape and break appropriately.

Just curious...
