If someone made this thread already I could not find it in the searchbar. Anyways, what I wanted to know is how much do you agree with styleforum? 60% 70% 80%?

For me its 70%. I don't agree you have to $$$$ just so you are on par with everyone else in the forum. And its not even thr money but the SF approved brands in particular.
For example Common Projects, WAYWYT jizzes all over that brand likes its the only sneaker thats superior from other sneaks. You are a pleb if you don't have cps basically.

Give me some things that you specifically dissagree on.

Tell me why you agree to certain things.

    This is vague I know.

There is perhaps an unhealthy degree of preoccupation with popular opinion within these boards; I "disagree" with SF in that, like most collections of people in the western world, it is ideologically confined.

Can't say I've ever witnessed this before...

I mean people here do love them, and they are superior to many other sneakers out there, but nobody puts anyone down just because they don't have CPs...

I mean once you go from regular mall sneakers too original CPs it's hard to go back because most of their sneakers well constructed but are also pretty simple and classic. Just like vans/converse the quality isn't as high but they're classic shape thats just nice. I've seen them worn with Yohji to TOJ and just work it's all on your own style to make lower end clothes work. Things don't have to be expensive to be nice you could always go DIY route in making your normal gap clothes to something different and unique but it's more work. Im not advising on it or saying that things has to be different to look good but what gets peoples attention is having some sense of style. Whether it be high end artisanal brands or wearing vans/converse, H&M, Uniqlo head to toe they also make good stuff.

I only noted "western" because that is the part of the world I am familiar with, not because I wanted to imply non-western virtue. :)

Yeah I figured you might say something like that about the cps. I don't own them so I can't really say.

I'd say 50%? maybe 75? Although I'd have to say, my quality standards have definitely gone up since visiting this forum frequently in the past few months.

I don't agree on things like everything Made in China is automatically considered bad.

Or that shoes that cost under X amount are bad and will "fall apart" within a "season or two". Especially when these people treat cheaper shoes like crap, beating them up, wearing them everyday, but when it comes to their more pricey shoes, they treat it like a baby and only wear those shoes maybe once every week or two. e.g. dress shoes, dress boots

i don't take a lot of things on here serious unless it was a answer to a specific question i asked. because not everyone has the same build or style these things play a important factor.

i don't own any cp's achilles nor have i ever tried them. i did once try on a pair of the common projects derby shine it was really nice but i ended up returning them.

In general i for sw&d area i take 25% of it seriously and 50%-75% seriously in MC. This is because MC has a lot more knowledgeable people. You should venture there sometime.
