    Counting mechanical ones only:
    - One vintage divers watch
    - One contemporary issue of a classic dress watch

So you don't have the flieger shown in your avatar? that's a nice watch though

I had two of those at one stage. Sold them both. Wore one of them daily for 2 years, and the watch still gave me a healthy appreciation upon resale. Can't say the same thing about my suits [IMG]

    Nice collection Nantucket!

Thanks. I forgot to mention a '60s Lucien Piccard 14kt Seashark Auto that needs a new winding stem and crown. They're impossible to find parts for.

    gld203 : thanks!

I like it very much too but I must confess that I don't wear it very often... It is one of my oldest watch, I have it since 93.

Canal Street, Chinatown fakes (these drive Ernest wild)
    1) Franck Muller
    2) Patek
    3) Audemars
    4) Bulgari
    5) Cartier[/quote]

I peeped some of these last night - they look pdg until you pick up and try to wind/set hands. I can see them lasting maybe a year, tops, assuming their timekeeping is anywhere near reliable (these were autowinding mechanicals).

Still for the price (about $50) I can see the appeal....There are some IWCs I covet but after trying the real thing on a number of times they just didn't convince me to whip out the plastic. I am not a cheapo with watches but there is a limit to how much I'd spend unless one did something super special for me....

I know I get bombarded with junk mail on replicas, some of which go for $300ish....i would hope those have a cheaper ETA movement at least. They certainly look fantastic on the website but i am assuming they use photos of the real McCoy at times. After all, the whole practice is unethical (and illegal) to begin with, right?

Breitling Bentley Navitimer watch (black face)
