How many times a month to wear a suit?

Apologies if this subject was covered before. However I was wandering what the general recommendation is on how many times a month a suit should be worn? My suits are typically Super 150s with 250 gr./meter.

Many thanks for feedback.

For me:

Once a week would be a rare maximum.
Once every two weeks would be typical for a workhorse suit.
Once a month for my highest end suits.

How long do you want them to last? I suppose many will say indefinitely, but for a variety of reasons, not everyone feels that way. Bodies change, styling preferences change, climate changes (different parts of the world).

If you want them to last 10-20 years, then once a month, and pick sturdier cloth in the future.

It also depends on how hard you wear them. If you drive to work and hang your coat during most of the day, your suits will last a lot longer than if you ride mass transit and wear the coat most of the day.

For my Oxxford suits I have worn them on unexpected extended business trips as many as 2 to 3 times with no wear or issues, and the same for Belvest in lighter fabrics with no issues but Purple Label and Isaia suits are more delicate and seem to wear faster for me.

Due to closet space limitations, I have twelve suits (including odd jacket+trousers combinations) that are OK (except for one quite particular Hugo Boss odd jacket that I only use on rare occsions) for my work. Six for spring/summer, six for autumn/winter. In that way, at an avarage, during each season I wear a suit about once a week. At an all year avarage, thus, once every two weeks. They seem to last forever: I buy two new suits every year, and give two away (due to said closed space limitations), and they do not look too worn out by then. On the other hand, they are no high end suits. Also, with the odd jackets, I have some extra trousers, that serve to increase the variety in available combinations and compensate for the extra wear that trousers suffer when compared to the jackets.

twice a month is a good way to preserve your suits. Dry clean once a year or less, if possible.

I always dry clean all my suits at the end of the respective season (that is, my six autumn/winter suits in june, for example). I like to know that they are "clean" when autumn comes. Would it be wiser to dry clean them less often? Or is it only very high-end, high-quality wool suits (such as 15 mil mil 15 or above) that are likely to deteriorate during dry cleaning?

If I am in the office I wear a suit and or odd jacket trouser once every four or five weeks.
If I am traveling, I bring three outfits to wear over two week period(not including week-ends where I can be more causual).
Mid -trip, I do laundry through the hotel, shirts, socks, underwear, etc.
I carry a steamer so the suits/jackets never, ever go to the hotel drycleaners.
I have learned a life lesson there.
Also I only carry "travel suits", meaning older clothing and fabrics that are harder to wrinkle.
