I picked up a Tommy Hilfiger tie when I was in Hawaii at the Navy Exchange (great prices, no sales tax&#33
wink.gif
I bought it because of the colors and the satin weave of the silk. It's my only other burgundy tie besides the one I got as a gift 5 years ago. I think I got it for around $25-30 or so. The crazy thing is, I went to a department store here in Seoul yesterday, and saw the Tommy Hilfiger ties on sale for 75,000 Won, about $65 US. I walked out of that store really fast before the saleswoman could grab me. (As an aside, I now always visit department stores with my iPod plugged into my ears, to make it easier to avoid/ignore the salespeople. It seems assholish, I know, but you don't understand these people. They're like SHARKS, and you're the piece of bleeding meat.)

I have close to 100 ties, give or take a bit in either direction. BTW, I've got a bunch of new, never worn ties (no tags) by Armani and Hugo Boss that I want to get rid of. Any interest? Half of them are those skinny ties that are all the rage now. I'm just too conservative to wear them. I'll post pics if there is any interest and I'm not looking to make a killing on them by any stretch of the imagination.

I'd love some of those skinny ties of yours. I can't seem to find any anywhere.

I might be interested in a couple of the Boss ties. I was never a big fan of Hugo Boss but recently bought a beautiful floral tie made by them and am, as a result, reconsidering my opinion...

Hey gents, I'll post some pics when I get a chance and you can let me know if you're interested when you see the ties. I'll try and have pics up by Mon. or so.

I've got a huge wardrobe for a 22 year old, but only have seven ties. 2 are skinny (prada and Jil Sander) to match my skinny lapelled suit. The others are classic. BTW... Domenico Vacca has 9 and 7-folds on sale for $130. Dad bought two when he was in town.

I was pondering those skinny ties the other day. I just don't think I could pull 'em off. What might be the best situation to wear one? Just kind of curious, really.

Hey NavyStyles, they look cool when worn with an untucked shirt with the top button open. Â I'm in law school and I'm pretty big as well and I think these kind of ties look best on skinny guys so I'm never going to wear them. Â http://www.bluefly.com/pages....2702691 Take a look at the bottom Boss ties. Â I would say that the ties I have are about that wide (3 1/4 to 3 1/2 inches wide at the widest point I'd say). Â The ties are not crazy skinny but you can tell that they are definetly narrower than a normal tie. Â I'll post pics, that's the best way to see what I'm talking about. BTW, don't compare the Boss ties to the other ties on the page because none of those ties are normal width.

Ernest, no pictures or stories behind your growing numbers? No brands or prices?.
I already posted pictures of my last 4 Faconnable and 4 Lanvin ties in other threads.

Price for Lanvin = 30 euros (normal price = 100 euros)
Price for Faconnable = 20/25 euros (do not remember) (normal price = 70/80 euros)
