I have 12 dress shoes , 1 Chukka, 1pair of trainers and that it folks..

I have a few pairs of Churches that I know are 28 years old and the only thing I've even done to them is rub some mink oil paste in a couple of times a year and occasionally polish them with creme(I don't like a high shine) I don't wear them anymore but they all have original soles and they're not even worn out, shoes still look fairly new suprisingly.
