5.1 miles with the dogs in temps around 50. Most of the snow is gone, with just some slushy parts remaining.

7.1 miles tonight. I managed to keep my pace under 8:50/mile which is pretty good for me this time of year with all the extra layers on.

Despite what it says on the tin, I'm currently beardless.

Three days of running a row calls for a rest day, right? Right?! Sorry, that ain’t me! I’m skiing at Eldora.

Looks like you guys have about as much snow as we do in Cali.

I drove to our ski house early this morning (in a very fast time of 2 hours 45 minutes). I'm working from home now and hope to get out for some nordic skiing this afternoon.

Yesterday’s Nordic outing: 8.4 miles & 1200’ of climbing. High 30s in the parking lot, but temps dropped below freezing while I was out.

If you’ve ever thought of cross country as boring, try dropping 1,000+’ on an icy track. My splits are hilarious: the first 4 miles took 1:12; miles 4-8 took 25 minutes - and I took the safer/slower route down.

It was in the mid-50s and sunny yesterday (crazy for January in Detroit) but the only miles I got in were a couple on the treadmill at the gym in the morning. I did get outside to do some much needed yard work though.

It was still in the upper-30s this morning so I got in 6.5 miles and reached my goal of at least 30 miles for the week.

2 more this morning in the wind and the rain (which I quite like, actually). Ran around the top of Bernal hill, so a bit of elevation change for a, um, change.

I’m going to try adding one more run per week. Bay To Breakers looms...
