Just over 6 miles yesterday afternoon after work.

At lunch, it was sunny here and temps were in the upper 40s so I thought, "Sweet! Nice weather for a run after the office!" When I left my office a couple hours later temps had dropped down to 41º and the wind had picked up. As I was making the 15 minute drive home I saw the temp on my thermometer drop to 38º then to 36º then to 33º as I pulled into my garage. The wind had gotten heavier and colder and it was also now cloudy and dreary. But d@mnit, I was still going to go for a run!

Got a new heart rate strap so I can have relative effort again

Today's lunch ride up the canyon and along Mulholland, feels like summer

Wanted to try out the running cadence feature on my new Wahoo Ticker X strap, pretty neat. I've just been pacing off feel but seems to be on the money from the online cadence/pacing charts

Got outside this afternoon for a chill ride with the folks who usually rip my legs off in the hills. 22 miles

This was tough, especially the second set. Each interval was 3 min at threshold and then 1 min at 90% of MAP.

Had a solid weekend of training. I signed up for a Pro/1/2 circuit race in April to have a goal (top 10-15 is realistic) so the next 6 weeks should be a good build up. Also turns out my new HR strap is defective so going to get it replaced

I was supposed to do three hours in Z2 today, but I was just exhausted. I even took a nap. :) I will try to make it up tomorrow

Friday: Gym only
Saturday: ~10mile run just really wandering in an area I haven't run for a couple years
Sunday: Gym then 7.3 mile run after my sons bday party

I tried to push the run pace yesterday but couldn't break 7:15/mi during my tempo portions. I think there is some lingering minor illness in me making things harder than normal.
