Hit up the gym this morning then shoveled about 7” of the heaviest snow I’ve dealt with since n a long time from my driveway. Garmin needs to add “snow shoveling” to their list of activities you can track with their watches.

Hopped on the Peloton last night and it was a slog. No energy to get going so it was either 1. Current cough causing breathing issues, or 2. the onions I had earlier in the day.

Getting old sucks when food starts causing issues.

17 Z2 “miles” yesterday. Supposed to be a rest day today, but there are only two days left on a club challenge, and I am barely hanging on to second place. May have to get out to pad my advantage a bit.

Apparently I misremembered my training plan. 30 min mixed cadence intervals was on the calendar. Looking forward to tomorrow, I realized I’d be pressed to find time for the long ride that’s scheduled, so I tacked that on after the intervals. All in, 50 “miles” and three hours on the trainer. Averaged 60g/hour on the nutrition front.

When I used to go to the gym regularly, one of my favorite uses of the treadmill was to do a circuit of:

1k sprint
10 pull-ups
10 crunches
10 dips
10 knee raises
10 push-ups
10 mountain climbers
10 barbell curls
Repeat 10x

Ive been slowly trickling back into the gym over the past couple months and decided to give that workout a try yesterday. I made it through 7 rounds and am paying for it today.

This might be the first time I’ve skipped out on a Saturday morning run in a few years.
