The bargain Reebok Forever Floatride Energy shoes I've been running in for all my easy pace runs for the last few months have started to come apart at the Achilles notch on the back of the collar. I don't know if its the way my foot moves or the materials or both, but that's only 500km (310 miles). I'm not sure they will make it to the 750km (465 miles) that I was expecting from them. It's a shame because up to this point they've been really comfortable and there's no sign of degradation / hardening in the midsole or wear on the outsole at all.

It might be worth contacting Reebok, especially if they are part of the net promoter customer satisfaction cult. ;)

Statutory minimum 30 minutes at 50% of FTP. Really felt the aftermath of last night’s effort for the first ten minutes, but by the end everything felt nice and loose.

9.2 miles this morning with 10x 800m. I averaged 3:45/800m across those segments slowed almost to a walk between segments. My overall pace was 8:13/mile. It was also another morning of above freezing temps and I got warm enough I had to take off my gloves and unzip my shell after just a mile or so to keep myself from overheating. It looks like tomorrow will be another warm-ish morning (though I'll probably rest and just go for a walk instead of a run) and then it will be back to freezing mornings again for at least the next 10 days. I'm hoping it gets warm enough and sunny enough during the day time to melt away the rest of the ice and snow from the sidewalks and paths.

The problem is that I got them off a private ebay seller. They were new but I have no receipts etc. But I might contact them.

On the foot movement thing, I've noticed recently that I twist my right foot outward after I push off the ground. It twists back before I land, but I've just become really conscious of doing it and I wondered if this might be causing the wear (it's only on the right shoe) - although there is no pain, it also concerns me biomechanically: what is going on? I don't think my foot used to move this way!

6.9 miles last night in the neighborhood with another 10 minutes of stretching after. My pace was almost 10min/mile but the elevation is roughly 150ft gain/loss per mile so I can't be that discouraged. Tomorrow may be a speedier day just to get some quicker miles in my legs.

Trying to start running again after being sidelined since November by a stress fracture reaction in my left leg.

3 miles @8:27 per this morning (splits 8:14, 8:37 and 8:31). Was feeling pretty good by the end of it but some insanely fit guy blew by near the end of my run to burst my bubble. He must have been running at a 6:30 pace or below. To add insult to injury I don't think he was much younger

I've gained 10 lbs from this injury and the leg is still bothering me enough that I'm not going to be able to run more frequently than 2-3x per week. Very frustrating.

Resist the urge to eat as you run more. That's always my Achilles heel.

Hit weights at 80% intensity today and the sore arm/knot from the Moderna is just about gone. I highly recommend when you get yours.

7.4 miles this morning is roughly 55/min. It was 1mi warmup then every other 0.25mi was a quicker pace, usually in the 6:XX range for 8 reps then cool down was 1.5mi but still in the 7s. Felt great to get out early and fasted.
