How many miles did you run today?

This might seem like a weird question to ask, or maybe not: has anyone here had any issues with UTIs or prostrate problems? Looks like I am going to have to head into the urgent care clinic tomorrow ASAP because of a constant need to pee and blood or, increasingly, bloody lumps in my urine. Suddenly came on over the last couple of days (and no, for one major reason, it is completely impossible for this to be an STD, in case anyone might be thinking that). This might help explain my recent lack of zip... in the meantime, I'll be in the bathroom.

Could be kidney stones too. I had an 8mm once and have drank at least half a gallon of water a day since then.

Thanks - the thought had crossed my mind, yes. I also take Lithium which can damage kidneys, but I have had regular blood tests with no problems detected, and the suddenness suggests prostatitis.

I’m a married white upper middle class millennial, so I have a Peloton. Is this a thread for me?

40 minute hill session yesterday and 60 mins easy today (c.7 miles). Really enjoying this programme after the first week and cutting out booze seems to be helping my energy levels. I’ve found a nearby flat 10k run on a motor sport circuit (Castle Combe) that lands exactly on the race day in my plan. Seems too good to miss so I’ve messaged the RD to check their plans and expectations as to whether it will go ahead.

14.6 miles this morning at 8:28/mile pace. I managed to set PRs for 10 miles (1:22:49), 20k (1:44:15), and HM (1:50:29).

I also set a PR on a local mile segment I’ve been working on.

It was a good running morning!

Well, I didn't run today because I was at the Urgent Care centre giving samples and being examined in places you don't normally want to be examined. Anyway, yes I have prostatitis, which luckily can be dealt with using antibiotics.

The only good thing of course is that this was all free, thanks to living in a country with a civilized healthcare system.

Two rides today! 6 miles this morning rolling with my friend to the finish of his virtual Boston Marathon:

And then 18 miles at a mostly chill pace with my friend who is briefly back in town to deal with the CA DMV after buying a new truck while they’re at their second home in NM:

I achieved a longtime goal and rode
to the top of our local “mountain”, Mount San Bruno, and I chose a perfect day for it. From my house it’s 8 miles and about 1,200’ of elevation gain, mostly in the last 4 miles.

I still had some oomph so I headed out to the coast before turning for home, for a total of just about 30 miles.
