30km yesterday and 14 today with 4x2k @3:40/k which gets me to 75km so far this week which is my highest mileage since my stress fracture 5 months ago. Feels great!

7 miles at marathon pace this morning along the waterfront in Vancouver. We fly home tonight, so this was my last chance to revel in the thick sea level air.

7 miles last night. Super humid so it was not an easy run.

14 miles this morning. A cool front came thru yesterday afternoon and it was 50F when I started, just glorious running weather!

I've not been out much lately for various reasons, however I've dropped almost 1.5 kilograms (over 3lbs) and gone back down a notch on my belt since I was forced to change my diet because of the onset of gout.

I've just arrived in Scotland where I'll be for a few days in Stirling, then Aarhus in northern Denmark, then Enschede in the Netherlands. As I'm on my own I plan to get a lot of miles in on the early mornings before the various conferences start...

I was going to run this morning, but ended up holding my son while he puked all over my shirt.

7 miles last night. 97th run on that particular route. There are 4 variations of my 7 miler but this one is by far my favorite due to the early hills and what seems like a flat finish but is really a false flat with a steady grind.

7 miles this morning on another beautifully cool morning. I am extremely thankful that after we changed daycare's about 2.5 years ago, we have had a huge reduction in stomach viruses in our house.

Back home and ran 5 miles with one of the dogs this evening. The temperature was in the mid to upper 80s, though I ran late enough that there was plenty of shade, and the wind had kicked up a bit. This felt really harsh after my last two runs, which were at sea level, and with temps in the low 50s.

This equaled my fastest run on my normal 5-mile course, at an 8:30/mile pace.

5 miles at an easier pace (9:03/mile). I ran later today, so temps ranged from the low 80s to the upper 70s.

6 miles last night. A cold front moved through over the weekend and took the humidity with it so running hasn't been a slog.

Did 6.5 very easy this morning. I was actually pretty proud of myself for how slow I ran.
I also had done some speedwork on Tuesday morning. This is an easy week for me and so I kept it to 2 x 1 mile @ 5k pace with 1/2 mile easy in between.
The next race I am signed up for is a 4 miler on July 4th, so I'm targeting my speedwork toward that race.
