8,75 km in 42:53. Temperature was great, a bit cool when I started but perfect once I started to speed up.

8.25 miles on trails this afternoon. Conditions were pretty much perfect and I felt really fast. It probably helped that I ended about 300 feet lower in elevation than I started, but even with that I still had about 1250' of gain.

3.75 miles on a treadmill using the hill set-up... not very exciting but gets the heart pumping...

5 miles this afternoon. Felt pretty dead, and have something odd going on between my calf and ankle on one leg, so I took it easy.

I was out in Denver last week and got in between 5 and 12 miles twice a day. Whoever said Denver is pretty flat was right! I knew ahead of time that Denver is east of the good climbs, but I think I generally get more climb here in Metro Detroit, which is really flat!

I had no car and not as much free time as I would have liked so I usually just took off from my hotel downtown and explored. I was really pleased with the trail network within the city - Cherry Creek, Platte River, Sanderson Gulch and Lakewood Gulch were all pretty nice and linked up with a bunch of good parks. Though I wasn't in the mountains, the views from places like Cheeseman Park were really great! All of the parks also seemed to have oodles of women wearing skimpy clothes or workout gear doing yoga so that just added to the views.

I wish I would have gotten there a day earlier or had more time in the mornings so I could have headed out to the park at Red Rocks. Oh well. My wife's cousin and her husband live out there and are always inviting us out to visit so maybe I won't be so quick to decline next time!

Haven't run for five days because of the hot weather we've been having, and all the back and forth to the hospital. I finally managed to get out early, but didn't quite beat the heat. Temps were still pushing 80 when I finished at 8:00 AM! 5km at E pace.

3k yesterday and 4k today. Running has fallen off a bit as I've been making more time to lift weights. I'm thinking it's time to start regularly doing two-a-days and just exercise more. I'm glad I'm getting stronger, but I want to hit my next set of running goals sooner rather than later.

Got in roughly 6.6 miles in some dreadful heat with thick air. It was a struggle towards the end but I made it home.
