1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

3 miles, this morning. Temperature, a damp and windy (!!!!) 24 degrees. Skidding on the ice and snow. Ho, ho.

    Merry Christmas!

The day after Christmas....4 miles. I needed a good run after all the crap I ate (and ate and ate) on Christmas day.

Didn't get to run today - my son got a skateboard for Christmas and I spent the afternoon trying to teach my son how to ride, or at least to get both feet on the board without falling off.

^^^ good luck there. I never figured it out myself.

Today: 12 miles, 1:34-ish. Feeling positive about the half coming up.

^ That's very impressive for a training run.

An easy 8 for me today.

    Thanks.

Today, a slow 4 to keep the legs loose, and just because I was up early.

    ^^ Enjoy the time off.

17.5 miles last night. Got to keep increasing my endurance to break pass that ~22 mile wall that has kept me from reaching my under 4 hour marathon goal [IMG]

9.4 miles in 1:02:47 in south Florida yesterday.
Not sure how the body is going to react to the 50+ degree change in weather now that I'm back in NY today.

    8 miles in 45-degree rain, 1:00:43.

Only knew how much rain was coming down when the occasional car drove by with its headlights on, and when I pulled off my sweatshirt - it hit the floor with a squish.

Houston (aramco?) half-marathon, actually - two-and-a-half weeks away. If the weather isn't too bad I may try running the steps at the local HS stadium, if not I'll probably continue with the intervals and long runs. Trying to beat my PR of 1:45. I think I have a shot if the weather isn't too bad and I keep my wits about me.

Next year I'll take a run at the marathon, before I'm officially 'old'.

I think you won't have any problem coming in under 1:45 (I predict 1:36). I have the SoCal half-marathon in 10 days. My goal is to come in under 1:50.

Good luck buddy and you are never too old to run a marathon!!!
