How many miles did you run today?

    You might have to, but its worth it. Why not bike, row or swim for a week and see if it heals up?

    5 miles this morning. I've ratcheted up the miles faster than I should have the past couple weeks (went from 10-12 to 25 miles/week). Felt plantar fascitis coming on, but constant calf stretching seems to be helping.

    Ehh... Mostly because I was on a program.. but yeah might have to

    I had the same issue in May and June with my ITBand...took three weeks off solid and just hit the gym that whole time...got better and that first healthy run was GREAT feeling.

    I took two days off on the weekend, and it wasn't too bad before it, and now it's back in force..

    I don't really wanna take two weeks off or something just because of that stupid thing [​IMG]


    When I've pulled a muscle, I've went with rest + ice/heat + gentle stretching + NSAIDS like ibuprofen. My college doctor put me on 800 mg three times a day for a neck pull and it was effective.

    Today: 6.7 miles in 53:07. In a light rain, which meant a wonderful morning!

    4.6 miles, tried to take it easy and relaxed, watched my pace, and the groin pull didn't bother me too much. Also made sure I stretched and warmed up well before running.

    Bad news: my nipples feel like someone cut them off with a razor.. OWWWW

    yesterday I did 4.3 miles with my daughter in our new double jogging stroller, the split was tough though as into a strong wind the stroller acted like a parachute on my back, for over two miles...

    Ditto. Having some groin issues from overtraining/taking downhills too fast. 5 miles trail at a slower pace, groin felt good after.

    8 miles this morning. at four miles I was 32:35, at eight 1:04:40. Negative splits FTW.
