How many miles did you run today?

Anybody had issues with ITBS already?
What did you do to get rid of it?

Try using a foam roller. I started using one about a year ago and there's hardly ever a day that goes by that I don't use it.

Ran my first half today. Despite injury plagued training and feeling a bit under the weather I still ran under 2, which was my goal.

There are a couple of stretches you can do, try googling that (IT Band stretch) and rest...you're not alone

Stretching and foam rolling resolved my IT Band issues. It took awhile, but I no longer have problems with it.

Thanks for the tips. I unfortunately feel like I dont do the stretching right, as with all of these exercises I feel nothing.
Doing foam rolling though, both with a ball and a roller. Feels good.
How long did you pause until you tried running again?

I'd wait until you have no pain...also make sure you are good and warm before you go out those first few times.

The foam roller felt good to you? Not for me, particularly when I first started. Some of the knots I rolled over made me want to scream like a little girl.

I didn't stop running entirely, but did run less often at a slower pace and for shorter distances.

I have a classic blackroll:
700

And wish I had a harder foam roller... So when doing slowly, yes it hurts but in a good way.

Running doesn't work out at all for me, unfortunately.
As said, I paused for 1 week with running after having severe issues and then it came back after few distance already. No point even trying...

6.5 tough miles still recovering from a chest cold. First time down one of my routes since Sandy...otherwise beautiful afternoon by the water.
