1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Wingin' It - It is indeed much of the same course that they use for Dances With Dirt. The race I ran yesterday also had a full marathon and 50k today and it's all put on by the same people that do the Dances With Dirt.

If there were more good trails, especially of the singletrack variety, in SE Michigan, I'd be all for running on them. Next year, I'm hoping to go out west for a full marathon on one somewhere and tie it in with a vacation.

7.6 miles this morning. Still very tight from Saturday's HM but started to loosen up a bit after a few miles.

Thanks man. Yes, that is the one. It runs along Highway 1 from Big Sur to Carmel. Fantastic scenery.

Great stuff guys. I can't even imagine the beauty of Big Sur!

I ran 5 miles this morning on a treadmill watching Squakbox which made it fly by since, they were doing a great series on top 100 business people who have made an "impact" on our lives. They also had Howard Schultz of Starbucks on, which was fascinating and made me want a coffee.

7 miles this morning with a strong headwind out and tailwind back. Better than the reverse...

I'm in northern New York this week, and despite what the calendar says, it still looks like winter here. Nary a bloom in sight.

Great job on the recent races everyone!
Legs are almost back to normal after Saturday. Looking forward to getting back out there but forecast is calling for temps north of 100 for the next few days [IMG].

Got in a lunch run yesterday and brought my stuff for another run today. Really broke up the day in the office except was overly hot for an hour afterward.

5 miles at lunch running with a couple people in the office. I set the pace with my garmin and we completed the run at roughly an 8:15/mi pace. They said that pace was fine but I could tell they struggled through it. My normal everyday pace is usually a 7:30/mi without much effort so it felt slow but nice to run with others. Doubt I will be asked to run with them again...

I'm not really looking forward to my impending run. It's 95 out right now! The swim afterwards will be nice though.

Since running Dances w/ Dirt, I've been on the Running Fit email list. For those of you around Ann Arbor (CP / MP), they have a big warehouse sale going on this week end at up to 70% off at their place on 5700 Jackson Rd. Fri / Sat / Sun.

6.5. First time on the San Bruno Mountain Ridge Trail. It's a flippin' roller coaster. A couple inclines were so steep I had to walk for a bit.

But worth the effort (right-click to open in another window for bigness):
