10 miles in 67 minutes. 27 degrees out tonight, i'm getting tired of the cold weater. Everytime it warms up for a couple days it drops back under freezing later in the week.

screw this thread. Does anyone else get a really terrible pain in their lower abdomen when they've worked too hard, specifically from cardio. I probably pushed too hard on a 6 mile trail run and feel like shit right now.

Yeah, that's the recipe. No training runs over 20. The last couple of miles can be rough, but haven't always been. I try to do a good carbo loading, and drink enough water during the race. Who knows what the secret is? Not I. Keep running!

20.1 miles this morning in 2:35:45 (7:45 pace). Nice and cool, 40-45 F, a little sun. Boston in five weeks. -G

I was bored at home, so I went for a 4 miler today. Did it in pretty decent time (37:30), considering the last time I ran this much was over 10 years ago. Felt pretty good afterward.

5k in 23:31. Not realy training for the 10 mile yet... but 5ks are still fun.

Luckily the Broad Street Run in Philly is all down hill.

Man, I didn't want to run today.

I ran on Saturday morning and hit the wall at about 3.25 miles. I x-trained with Ultimate Frisbee Saturday evening and Monday evening. 80 degrees today, and wanted to get back to my usual 4 miles with a 5K coming up on the 28th. So off I reluctantly went and ended up finishing my 4 miles feeling better and stronger than I ever have. I think my trouble on Saturday was related to a cold I've had.

My fitness program this year was to lift weights MWF for the first quarter, then incorporate HIIT running on TThS starting in April. We had great weather in Chicago today, so I jumped the gun. Three miles at normal pace with 3 30-second high-speed intervals.

Considering that I couldn't get up the energy to go run today, I did 4 miles in 35:59. Also considering that I started running in January this year and struggled to do 3 miles in under 33:00, this makes me feel pretty good.

This is far off of my high school cross country days, but I didn't think I could get that fast that quickly. Running, ftw!

7 miles in 53:42, felt fairly strong after a week of low mileage and high stress.

I've been doing a pretty good job lately, in general, but I did squats and deadlifts Monday (for the first time in a month) and I've barely been able to walk since [IMG]

Hoping to recover by the weekend and get a good long run in. Maybe register for a 10-miler in June.

And Army 10-miler reg opens soon...
