Can't wait till Spring is in full swing. Then the running can really pick up again.

14 miles in 1:58. My pace is very slowly picking up.

I love it how a different body part begins to give me grief during my long runs. Today it was my left ankle. Last week it was my right hamstring and the week before it was my left knee. WTF!!! I guess the little aches and pains are part of being active and striving to improve your overall health. Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!!

Yes! Finally I have managed to run for a while without my knee giving me problems.
I only ran slightly less than 3 miles, but I didn't feel anything at all.

For the last week I've been stretching my IT band to loosen it up a little. Also I used a knee brace to keep my patella in its place and (maybe even more important) to keep my knee warm.

Ah it feels good to be running again!

The cold I've been nursing since Friday seems to be subsiding. Maybe tonight I can get some decent sleep and tomorrow back on the roads!

    Good deal!

My weekend was a little insane and...... tiring on my body. So I took Saturday and Sunday off compared to the usual Sunday. Also didn't run yesterday b/c I didn't wake up to my alarm. Needless to say, it felt good to get back out there this morning with a nice 4 mi.

2 2/3 miles this morning. Very slow and sluggish, still not over my cold but feeling better than yesterday.

I ground out my 6.8 miles yesterday...not a problem but, boy my lower back is killing me this AM. My left hip continues to protest too much, methinks!

I am done running for a long while [IMG] was doing about 3-10 miles every day, longer miles 2 days apart. BUT this past weekend was out snowboarding in the Poconos and fell pretty hard in the half pipe and severly bruised my butt cheek and my tail bone.. excruciating pain [IMG]

I'm running my first 5K in the morning. There's supposed to be a windchill of zero.

Good luck on the 5k, Alan.

I'm thinking it's time to get back into running. A half-marathon in the late summer/early autumn would probably be a good target. Starting slowly--2 1/2 miles on a crappy treadmill tonight.
