6.07 miles over the Queensboro Bridge and along the East River in 43:50. Left calf is feeling sore/buised from the long weekend run. Not sure how to deal with it.

Kid nickles - I admire your willingness to get on the elliptical - I can barely handle 5 minutes of indoor exercise.
9 last night for me with 5 miles at 7 min pace with 100 meter pick ups every 400 meters. Felt decent - 7 minute pace feeling very easy.
Tonight was 6.5 at like 8 minute pace. Felt like **** probably because I ate a burrito like 45 minutes before I ran. Oh well.

^^ yeah, that would do it.

Today, a big 1.3 miles in 10:45, I had scheduled to run 6, but after the first loop I had to duck inside to make a pit stop, and then the baby started crying, and next thing I know I have 10 minutes left. So I went outside to do more box jumps and v-ups. abs still hurt, but the box jumps weren't too bad. Then I tried the one-leg box jumps onto a step and it wasn't awful - coordination was a big hurdle, though. I can see this getting easier after a few more sessions.

Almost every day, about 4 miles. The weather has been mostly OK. This has been an unusually warm winter.

Ran the Manhattan Half fun run in the snow on Saturay and tacked on another 5.3 miles for 18.4 in total. Ran the half in 1:37:40 and the total run in 2:14:14
5.6 miles easy in CP in 41:40

This needs more attention. Myles, I biked over to cheer in that race and the conditions were something else. Even getting around in 1:37 is a massive accomplishment. I watched some friends on their first loop and bailed before my toes froze off.

For me, a return from a week layoff to a wonderful 5 miles. I love running the less I do it.

Up next, the ESBRU on 2/8. Gulp.

7 tonight with an awful tempo run. 5k in 19:40 . . . felt pretty crappy. It was on muddy grass but tempos always challenge me. I got it done though and feel much better for it now.
Myles I didn't see your post of that half. Nice work.
11oClock - that is the abbreviation for the empire state run to the top yes?

Yeah the conditions were pretty gnarley out here, but in all honesty I think it was the most fun I had running in CP in some time, it almost felt like trail running. So given the conditions, the 1:37 is pretty solid.

I'm running the ESBRU as well - about11oclock - have you run it before? This is going to be my 4th stab at it.

And yeah - ran 4.32 miles on the treadmill yesterday in 31:12 with half miles portions on 15 incline to cycle in some hill work.

8 miles, pretty easy this morning. Looking good for March marathon. Just have to be sure the wife isn't too upset (near her birthday)

5 with four two-minute intervals at tempo (or as best I could judge without a heart rate monitor). Toward the end, I got flashed when I came across a couple of women who'd gone off on a side path so that one could change her shirt. So, that happened.
