    Sunday: 16 miler
Monday - wanted to run, but intermittent downpours and cold winds and a waking baby stopped me.
today: 12 x 200 at 0:45 pace, 200 recovery. tried to hold a 45/60 run/rest split but the cold headwinds were a bit much for me. Still managed the 0:45 pace though. And a couple of miles to and from the track, so overall, 5 miles. 40 minutes

Nice 7 miler today, finally outside. It was 25 degrees. Ran it in 56 minutes, which is very fast for me. Oddly only woman runners on the trails today.
Ive been running in a mountain hardware merino longsleeve shirt that Gary Robbins gave me (he is a Montrail sponsored ultra runner from B.C.).
Ive got to say, I am becoming a huge fan of wool running shirts. I wore that and a vest (just a wind breaker layer, no insulation beyond me and the shirt) and was very comfortable the whole run. Also wore a hat and gloves, but did wear shorts.
Im not sure I am looking forward to running in snow. Im a little concerned about my ankle, but we shall see. It seems my dreadmill workouts are making me faster.

I've read claims that the wool doesn't get as funky as synthetics. What's your experience?

I think it takes a nicer crease... :)

5 miles early this morning in Arizona, on about 3 hours of sleep. Got to the hotel after midnight because of problems with the plane, and needed to be alert for a full day of meetings going from 8 - 6. The run wasn't great, but it did wake me up.

This is a tardy post as it was from a few weeks ago, but ran the Knickerbocker 60k in Central park on the 19th of November, finished in 5:32:15. Loops were painfully borign after a while but I'm glad I did it.

6 miles this morning, including fartleks. Felt good to run hard again for the first time in a while.
Nice job scoring the Puma's, Sam.
Myles, hat's off to you for the 60K in Central Park.

4 this morning. Some birds flew low across the sidewalk in front of me, and one got too close. I inadvertently kicked it! It seemed unaffected.

I enjoyed reading the write-up. An impressive story. Congrats on winning the shoes, and particularly on the change in lifestyle.

3.25 miles this morning along the east river in 22:17 - trying to get the legs motivated for extensive winter miles.

A wonderful 6 miles this morning. It was probably one of the best runs I've had since returning to running in July. I felt great from start to finish. It probably helped that I was listening to new music I'd downloaded that I liked a lot. Being in Arizona helps, too.
