How many miles did you run today?

    6 yesterday. Having foot issues, so I got on the stationary bike in the pm and now my 'gr*#dle' hurts like hell.
    May have to head too the doctor to get my foot checked out, limping pretty pad today.
    Not happy about that.

    I couldn't run this morning so I left work a bit early to get in 5.5 mi. I'm not used to running late in the day, but it felt good.

    possibly a stupid question, but, as someone who rarely runs early in the morning, i've got a question for the early morning runners: do you run before or after your first coffee? do you find it makes a difference either way?

    if I am running a workout or a race, I definitely try to get some caffeine in me. If it is just an average distance run (8-10 miles or w/e) I will usually just try and get out the door as quickly as possible. I find it helps if I throw a cup in the fridge after I brew my morning coffee so I have iced coffee ready at a moments notice in case of a pinch.
    0 today. Getting sick, but gratefully at the best possible time training wise.

    I drink about a half cup of coffee and sometimes eat a half banana or half an apple before I'm out the door.

    Glass of water. Cup of hot coffee. And, I'm out the door. Sometimes, a half slice of toast with almond butter or a banana.

    I run on an empty stomach or, if going out on a longer run, snarf something like shot blox. But I'm not big time like those fellas above, so YMMV...

    I take a 200mg pill 40~45 minutes before...

    ..higher heart rate + force any bowel movement to happen before the run...

    5 miles

    On weekdays when I run before the kids get up for school, I usually drink some water and hit the roads. On weekends, when I have more time in the morning I might have a piece of toast with peanut butter.

    5+ this morning.

    4.5 this morning. I had a whole banana and full cup of coffee before leaving, not a good idea. Mid-run, I thought I'd have to stop. From now on, I'll stick to a half cup of coffee and a half banana, if anything at all, or just a glass of water.

    8x400 hill repeats with warm ups, downs, jogging in between. Maybe 5.5 total.
