if 3 + in 24 minutes is a slug, I run like a slug that has been salted

Have a great Hamptons Marathon, Sam! Hope you'll share your experience with us.

Eight miles today, including two 1-mile tempo heats at 90%.

    Ha, ha. :D
I'm delighted with the time. Very good for me. I just did not have my heart in it. I earned every step.

My usual 4.5 miles this morning. I started too fast which resulted in a sluggish finish.

2 OFF days the past two days . . . . . In Laughlin Nevada where the hotels do not have treadmills.
About to go for a long one tonight.

OH - also, it was Mylesmyles running the marathon today (and I hope he did well) not me. Next race is Oct 9

I ran 7 miles on a treadmill this morning. I prefer outdoor running, but I arrived in Hong Kong at midnight and didn't know my surroundings enough to venture outside. I had slept only 4 hours, but the run was good and has kept me alert throughout the day, at least so far.

Ran the Hamptons Marathon on Saturday. Good news is it didn't rain, bad news is it was pretty humid, wihch gave me some cramping concerns.
Overall ran a pretty good race, finished in 3:29:25 and somehow won my age group. Below are my splits. Based on what I could see and feel, I def started to fade at mile 18, but was able to keep things together to finish strong enough. Considering how ligh tmy training was coming into this race (my total miles for the past five weeks were 0 miles, 0 miles, 7 miles, 33 miles and 19 miles) I'm pleased with the effort, and this should be a good springboard to get me ready for NY next month.

Way to go Myles - sounds like the humidity made things tough.
15.2 last night for me with 3 miles at goal HM pace (from miles 7-10 at 5:55 5:44 5:44). Felt OKAY running the pace but we will see how it pans out.

Did anyone take note of the new WR for the marathon? I think I'd struggle to keep up with him at that pace for 400m...

Myles: Most excellent results, and congratulations on winning your age group! :slayer:
Humid conditions can make 26.2 a bear, and you hung in there.

4mi at marathon race pace this morning.
