1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Not quite Hansens - its a much smaller group.
I will be doing a 5k/10k "season" starting in July, and then gear up for a spring marathon next year. The coach has had damn good results with some of my friends, so hopefully I will be able to channel some of that magic. I think mileage will still be in the low-mid 70s.
8 early yesterday, then 2 in the PM followed by strength (arms/back)

First run back from a wicked virus. Didn't each much of anything the past five days, felt incredibly weak. Incredible...feel like I worked for 5 months to build up strength, and lost it in 5 days...:(

Struggled through 4.75 today with 5 hill repeats towards the end. How long after stuff do you guys get your groove back?

2 - 3 weeks if its really nasty for me. On the plus side its a good opportunity for your legs to get over any niggles they might have though. You certainly won't be back to square one even if you feel like it now..

Just starting to run to get in shape - I'm doing 3 miles a day about 5 days a week now. Feels good to be able to post in this thread.

Pushed myself today, gym in the AM and 7.5 this afternoon...the weather helped. Pace was slow, but my interval sprints were quick.

9.25 yesterday. My ankle has apparently not properly recovered from twisting it back in January. I need to see someone... :cloud:

4.8 this morning. outside with a few slight grades and definitely tougher than the treadmill. encouraging for me who usually abhors hills. I think my pulmonary reserve has increased a bit the past 2 months.

    10mins warm-up
    3x sprints with increasing pace
    40mins at speedy pace
    10mins cool-down

on a side note: what are the names for the different running areas?
e.g. basic aerobic is in germany GA1, faster and just below the anaerobic treshold (what i did today) is GA2 ...

p.s. fucking inner knee (left) hurts and i dont know what it is.
