    newyorkranger - I have been on the brink of buying the newtons 4 or 5 times, but I always back out at the last second. I will be switching into a trainer as I ramp my mileage up over the next two months, and may finally pull the trigger.

    Got out for a double today
    8 early afternoon easy
    12 PM with a decent barefoot interval workout. I am really enjoying doing intervals barefoot on grass, I think it is helping me to become more efficient.

    8pm tonight, locked my in my car, and had to have someone drop me off at home so I could grab the spare and then run back to the car, 8 miles away. It was a good way to resolve an annoying problem.
    felt like a 6:50 pace but no watch so I dont know.

    Got my pair of Saucony Mirage this morning. Looking forward to breaking them in - I'll let you know how it goes.

    A note to UK users - ordered them from www.distance.co.uk yesterday at about 2:30pm - selected free delivery. Although it was quoted as going to take up to 3 working days, I received them by 9:30am this morning! Price was good and the delivery time was great... can't really give them feedback any other way than to plug them on here :happy:

    4 miles this morning at 5:30 a.m. with temps in the 60's and little humidity. :) After I got going I wanted to keep running farther, but had to get back to walk the dog and get dressed for work. :(

    9.25. Slow-ish in drizzly conditions. I'm always surprised at how many people won't exercise in the rain. Your sweat is already going to make you wet anyway, right?

    Finally, a question: What do you do about chafing on the inner thighs?

    You can get anti-chafe products such as the ones at the top of this page. I've used BodyGlide to stop my nipples from chafing...

    I've found Body Glide works great.

    10mi at 90% effort this morning. Thank goodness for 45% humidity, finally.

    7 yesterday mostly barefoot on grass.
    My body is feeling a little f*cked up, and I have a 5k saturday, so it may be a challenging race.

    Did a pyramide yesterday:

    15min warmup
    1000m - 2000m - 3000m - 2000m - 1000m all in 4:08mins / km pace with around 3:30mins pause
    cooldown jogging
