^^^cool beans man...are there a lot of turns? I would probably get dizzy if there are, otherwise, I'd consider it. Today, run started with the sun out and temps at 40. Beautiful, by the end they dropped quickly with the sun...~5 miles, and knowing the ice that looms the next few days, this may be my last of the week. [IMG] [IMG]

Im heading to the lake shore, to see the damage from the 25ft waves.

Damn, that was just plain rough.

Did 9 miles, 3 of which were through knee/thigh high snow.
I had no idea how hard that was going to be....now I know, and will never do that again.
Some of the path was plowed, other sections (some long) were not.
The lake was spectacular and the hill down it was run several times as it was so full of snow, it was kind of like powder skiing.
You could see downtown from the Lake Bluff beach (kind of rare)....
    Pics to come.....

    4 miler at MP and a little faster (7,6:53 6:43 6:40. . .)
watched the spirit of the marathon last night. Its a good one to watch with a race coming up.
Trying to eat right starting today and get rest. Tonight will be the best sleep I get before the race so I plan to enjoy it. I can't wait to hit the expo tomorrow.
It looks like there will be some exciting stuff on the world running scene this weekend as well (USA XC championships in San Diego, New Balance Indoor mile featuring some of the North American greats)

really working out my race plan, going over my training and getting my ducks in a row.

    Here ye go.....
First pic was an area they had plowed the path, second pic is the bottom of the hill to the lake, 3rd is the frozen huge wave on the lake with me as a reference for size, 4th and 5th are the lake, if you look close, you can see down town Chi.
last pic is what most of the run to the lake was like, trail blazing in knee deep snow....I am paying for that right now.

Slugged my way through a foot of snow for about 3 miles. It felt like 10! Some streets were cleared; others not.

4 miles, saturday mornings are more a social thing than a training thing. Kg, how you spend 45 minutes on a treadmill is beyond me.
