another 6.7 this morning, cranked it out a tad faster but started fading on the final loop. 49:50, fairly even splits.

I ran 2 miles (about a third of the way into my planned 6) whereupon I tripped on a bump in the Seawall, fell flat on my face and ripped my hands and knees to shreds. Blood everywhere. Damn.

    Sorry that happened man!
I hope that nothing to bad comes of it!
11.5 in 1:18 this afternoon. My legs are feeling solid again after feeling sluggish the past two days.
Hopefully no one in my family will get to offended when I excuse myself to run over the next two days. . .
Hope all you guys have a wonderful christmas!

    Have a cold....oh well.
10.5 yesterday on my lake route.
Did hill repeats at the half way mark.
Was the fastest run I have ever done, average speed was around 7.5 mph.
    First 5K was @ 22min
Not sure why, except the treadmill running I have been doing has all been aimed at speed.
I think I have figured out the difference and why it sucks:
-when you push off on a treadmill (with your toes), this portion of your stride is negated by the moving band beneath you. On real earth, it is additional forward push that is put forth in stride. This aspect of my stride has gotten much stronger by the treadmill speed work.
Also, the fitness is coming back.

Nice one hour run through the snow and ice on this Christmas Eve morn. Later, today, some of Antirabbit's Chicagoland snow is coming to Michigan. [IMG]

    Merry Christmas, all.

Merry Christmas to you all as well. I hope everyone enjoys Christmas and time with family/friends/whomever.

    12/24/10 - 20 up, 7x2 min on/1 off (11.3, 11.4, 11.9, 11.9, 12, 12, 12) offs were 9 mph.

I tripped the power outlet on the 7th and couldn't figure it out. I'll have to make up for the shortened workout tomorrow. It felt very smooth and easy but its a treadmill so take it with a grain, or several, of salt.

I'm planning on hitting the roads/sidewalks tomorrow and doing some snow running. Always a good adventure and allows me to practice my steeplechase/hurdle form over the numerous snow berms.

I also have an awful cold....no running [IMG]
Im gonna get healthy before I hit it. Running sick netted me double pneumonia last year.
Got a new pair of Kinvara's for Christmas along with some new running gloves and hat.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and that this storm is laying lovely snow smack on you all!

Yup, we're getting a blizzard today. Especially sucky since my oldest son is going on a plane trip today. Logan is going to be Bedlam.

12/26/10 - 90 min. 13* 1 dog attack and way too many meters of high knees through 12"+ of snow. I'm exhausted. Took advantage of the cleared trail to run ~50 min. at a good clip.
