    Whereabouts is "Northshore" for you?

    Lake Bluff/Lake Forest IL.
There is a large trail system up here that I run all year round (after big snows I wait till the Xcountry skiiers track it up a bit).

After a week to recuperate from a rough weekend and back pain, 5.3 miles in 41:30. Back still hurts but it's manageable. It was 30 out there this morning, which I was unprepared for, but it's all good.

Switched it up and did sprints today. Sprinted the long side of a soccer field (120yards) and slowly walked the width (80yards). Did that for 5 laps then took a 5 minute break. Then I sprinted the width and walked the length for another 5 laps. Fuck that is intense. My knees, feet, ass, and thighs are already sore.

The plan was to do sprints twice a week but idk if my legs can take it

It's better to go easy on yourself, so watch out on those things. No running for me today, snow storm. Dunno if I go out running tomorrow too cause of deep snow laying around...

thats a pr for me at that distance and it was on a hilly track.
Higher mileage and more effort have helped me get faster which is nice.
