Ran the San Antonio Rock'n' Roll Half today. Clocked in at 1:34, 9 minutes less than my time (1st race) last year. Stoked, and definitely will come back for more (pain).

Early morning 3 mile run in 18 minutes. When the temperature dips to 30 degrees, I tend to be motivated.

    Congratulations, that's an excellent time.

Yesterday was 9.3 in 1:12, slow but even pacing until the last loop where the wheels came off.

    5.19 miles in 35:40. Office - Lincoln Memorial - Capitol - office.

Some of you guys are ridiculously fast. I don't know that my legs can move much faster than this.

7 minute miles are nothing to be ashamed of! The best race I ever ran was my slowest marathon.
Ran an extra 3 with my gf last night and did some high knee intervals. also copped these bad boys:

I also did 5 today and 5 yesterday, my trails are amazing. Yesterday the light and the wind were so amazing.
Getting a bit faster and I am comfortably over the 4 mile barrier again.
Ankle is holding, its gonna suck when its surgery time.

I couldn't get out there today due to rain. I am slowly trying to get into running, and I just can't ever see myself running faster than 7 minute miles[IMG]

Was pretty hungover this morning, and I think I'm coming down with something. Managed 2 miles this morning before nearly vomiting, and 4 more just before dinner. When I think I'm getting sick I usually don't stop running/exercising unless I lose an appetite or dizziness. Is that what you do?

Are the die-hards here doing tempo, speed, track, intervals . . . and all that jazz?

I do the same old five miler five days a week and nothing much is happening. If anyone is inclined, I'd love some advice on how to shave time.
