3.20 miles in 26:52 (avg. 8:23 min/mi) Today's shuffle playlist: Radiohead - "You" Metallica - "Harvester of Sorrow" Red Hot Chili Peppers - "Warped" Rush - "Red Sector A" Metallica - "Eye of the Beholder" Cream - "Outside Woman Blues" Warren Zevon - "Werewolves of London"
    Brendel? +1,000 [IMG]
When it comes to Beethoven, he's my #1. I do have an excellent mono recording of Rubinstein playing a few sonatas, and the playing is just jaw-dropping. However, Brendel trumps all.

Tonight, 5 miles in 35 minutes. Beeeyoutiful night--enjoying the last days of Indian summer. Got home just in time to watch the Red Wings dominate the Oilers.

6 miles yesterday, needed to see if I could push past 4, and felt good.
averaged about 8:45 a mile. Not fast, but damn it feels so good to get back into it and feel the fitness coming back.
Took today off, and will do my old trails tomorrow (short version).
We need to start posting more pics of where we run.

On a side note....I am so in love with my Kinvaras. They get better with more miles on them.
They are also on clear out on Runners Warehouse btw.

Hmmm, Thursday was 6.7 in 51-odd minutes, wanted more speed but it just wasn't there.
Friday, slept in, but that's really relative.
Today: 6.7 in a chilly drizzle, started unsually fast but kept the pace up for 47:34

Tomorrow, thinking 9.3, or 10.7, slower.

7.5 today, after a week of 3s and 4s and some fartleks. Starting to build-up again. Should take it easy tomorrow, given the amount of wine I've drunk.

    Hello. First post, etc.

Ran 5 kms today in 30 minutes. Slow, but that's the farthest I've ever gone without having to take walk breaks.

I'm looking at doing my first half-marathon at some point in the spring and I'm wondering if anyone here has ever tried using miCoach or a similar program to help them train. I seem to have plateaued at this point; I'm looking for some suggestions on how to make the step up in distance.

    Thanks!
    Jeff

I've used Bob Glover's The Runner's Handbook and The Competitive Runner's Handbook to go from couch to Marathon finishing line. In one piece. In 1 1/2 years.
