Ran a 10k race on a point-to-point course this morning. The start and finish points were near rapid transit stops so I cleverly planned ahead and had my (not-used-in-a while) transit card on a chain around my neck along with car key and Road ID. Unfortunately, when I got to the train station to return from the race, the card was appparently empty and not functioning and- not having any spare cash - I opted to just jog back to the starting line. Not exactly a day I'd planned on having a long training run, but I guess it all worked out for the best.

I miss you guys...srtained achillies really had me shelved the past month, but I'm finally starting to feel ok again...3.25 miles real slow with my daughter on Thursday and today 6 miles...not a blazing pace at all, but relatively pain free (still a little stiff). Now I need to work on controlling myself and not overdoing it so I can build up again. I've been doing a bit of stationary bike and rollerblading for the past month as well as playing hockey so...

Sunday, a slightly-easier 8 miles in 65:23, while the rest of the house slept. Not as many aches and pains afterward but the afternoon chores wore me out pretty badly.

Today, a slower 5.3 miles in about 45 minutes.

4.5 miles this morning, going to go for another run when the gf gets home. Still getting used to actual outdoors running, as I used to only do it on a treadmill. Signed up for my first 5k race today as well!

Ran a 10K over the weekend in 48:32. Not too bad I guess considering I was just getting over being sick. Ran 6 miles last night. Gonna sign up for a half-marathon on Oct. 3. I've never done anything longer than a 10 mile race so it should be interesting.

Got caught up feeding the newb, so made it a tempo run: 2.7 miles in 19.18 (7:09 pace). Not bad for first time of the season.
