Today's Sunday. I wake up early and feel strong. So I decide to run around the Centre park. So the first I start running slowly and then I speed up. the distance is quite far. At last, I run 1.5 miles. It's very interesting.

7.5 miles this morning in 51:10. 1 mile warm up and 1.5 mile cool down. 5 mile tempo in between in 32:30. Didn't even realize I was running a 6:30 pace but it felt good, a bit of a challenge but not to hard.

Crutched less than 1 mile today =/
The good news is that the boot they gave to immobilize my broken foot looks like it is Rick Owens X Reebok.
Doctor Said I didnt need surgery and that I can swim in a few days to keep cardio up.

Have to report in... did my personal best of 21 km in 1h 47 min - I feel pretty damn proud of that, considering that when I returned from my military service in 2008 I could barely jog maybe 2 km without getting winded.

I realize this is small potatoes compared to most of you who run these distances on a weekly basis, but for me its a milestone.

^^ good work: progress is always a good thing!

Yesterday I saw a rather stout gentleman wearing the 08 Aramco finisher's shirt (which I have but had lost), so I eventually found it and wore it today, while getting back into the swing of mileage. 6.7 miles, 54 minutes. Legs didn't fall off, but I sweated buckets.

5 miles tonight in a bit over 36 minutes. Finished with 5x100m strides. Had a miserable 5 miles Friday as well which brings my weekly mileage only to 27.5. Was hoping to be close to 40 at this point but at least my IT band is feeling ok.

I'm impressed. How much mileage a week do you train?

^^Thanks - I try to clock 40-50 miles per week, though I hope to get it up to 50-60 in the coming weeks.

I'm currently training for a 50 miler (The North Face Endurance Challenge in Atlanta) and the NYC Marathon.
