Finished the San Francisco Marathon in 4:04 today! My slowest finish yet but I had a really strong race on a challenging course. Also checked out MAC and GIMME shoes yesterday and copped some MMM slacks and a nice Luke Simon shirt. Great weekend .

Just over seven miles today. Tons of marathon participants out today. Wow, they are fast and
determined.

4.25 miles today. I took some of the local, unpaved bike trails and ended up on top of a 200ft bluff. It was pretty cool. It's only about 20 mins from my house and I had no clue it existed.

Some of you guys are lightning fast. Damn.

My time is not nearly as fast as you guys......I run on average 3.5-4.0 miles a few days of the week. Just started using Nike+ and I love it. A challange is a good idea

Back at it. 2.6 tonight.
Not sure how I'm ever going to get to 13.1.

I have 88 days.

What marathon do you plan on running? This morning I ran 6 in a little under 53min, need to start getting my mileage higher for a half in October if I want to finally get under 1:30

Marine Corps Marathon in OCT, have a half in Sept as a tune-up. I think most people don't run enough miles when training for the Marathon.

4 miles today in 40 minutes at an easy pace. Still babying a gimpy knee... hopefully it will get better soon. I have missed enough tempo and interval runs...

The last six miles of any marathon demonstrate why this is a problem. I keep a 60 mpw but would like to step it up to 70-80 to try and smoke the surf city marathon this february (I ran a 3:32 last year there)
1 mile roughwater swim today- feels good to give the legs a little rest.
