6 miles tonight in right about 41 minutes. Felt good to get out there and run fast, increased the speed with each mile and finished with about a 6:20 mile

That's awesome. I ran 6 miles for the first time in my life yesterday - did it in about 52:30. I hope to go a bit faster over the coming weeks - perhaps mid to upper forties is a realizable goal.

Got 7.5 miles in this morning with a pace of 8 minutes 50 seconds per mile. That's my best pace in a while for that distance.

7 miles running, 21 miles riding and 1 mile swimming. Thinking about a half Ironman . . . but I dont want to lose marathon focus.

2.5 miles. Brutal heat. 105F. I was constantly dumping water over my head and drinking. Not my fastest run, but whatever.

Question: Does running in the heat improve stamina/endurance more than running in 60 degree perfect weather? Or does it just harden you mentally? Also, are hills worth it? I'm not a serious runner (15 miles a week), but I tend to do a lot of hills and I want to know if they are worth it or not.

6 mile run barefoot on the beach today followed by a .5 mile rough water swim.
20 miles on the bike for commuting.
    Good hump day!

3 miles in 28 minutes, no heels. Nike Frees starting to feel natural, and a shoemaker said "You walk very far forward on your feet".
