I ran 7 miles today! feeling so fine..I always rum 6.5-7 miles daily
I have been trying to "cut" (as the BB community calls it) starting this week, so I did 2.5 miles on Saturday, probably 2 miles on tuesday, and a mile today. The runs Tuesday and today were post-lifting, so it's been a rough week. Trying to go from 25% bf to hopefully half of that. Damn it hurts.
^^^the two a days will help, particularly if you give yourself a bit of cool down after lifting, then get going again for your run. I've been managing this every other day this summer, workout in the AM at the gym, then a run (usually between 4-7 miles) later. On my non gym days, I'll do one long run (10 or so) and two shorter runs 5-6.
I was able to do a real nice 4.25 miles with the whole family today! I love where I live!
after a while:
31 min 10k translates into a pretty damned good marathon time... might want to consider it. But I don't know how old you are, if you're still in school and running on a team (but with a handle like "working stiff" you probably aren't), other running goals you have, so you kind of have to factor in those things.
Do you normally run by yourself or are you affiliated with a club or something?
The marathon is not the be-all and end-all of distance running . I plan to run one (or even a few) eventually, but for now I'm quite happy focusing on the 10K (trying to get sub-30). And I have a club I train with.
Today was just 5 miles.

yesterday: 25 minutes + 5X800m in 2:13 with 2:00 rest + 20 minutes
Today: 10 miles am, 5 miles pm
10 miles this morning, 4.5 miles this evening
4 miles tonight in a little over 29 minutes. Felt good to get out after a few days off dealing with Vanity style bowel problems.
8.5 miles on Friday in 1:03:47
19.5 miles friday (my last long training run before the SF marathon in two weeks)
12 miles SLOWWW to help my girlfriend get ready for her first half on sunday =)

31 mile weekend has me feeling good and sore! Time to start my taper . . . . anyone running the SF full?
6 miles in 52:30. It the longest run I have ever done. It was my first day back after taking a couple of weeks off on vacation, so I ran at an easy 8 minute-plus pace. Felt good!
6 miles tonight in right about 41 minutes. Felt good to get out there and run fast, increased the speed with each mile and finished with about a 6:20 mile
This morning, around 4 a.m., I ran 6K in about 50 minutes. I counted over a dozen other early bird runners on the streets.
