I’ve been neglecting this thread… I had a cold much of last week, so ended up only riding about 51 miles, and swam 1000 meters on Friday.

Today, I rode 17.2 miles total, between school drop off and pickup, and a ride in between to drop packages off at the post office.

Beautiful day in the bay yesterday! Started with a group ride going up to West Point Inn for Pancake Day (waiting at the meeting point, then at the bridge for people who were delayed by BART, and the various regroups accounts for most of the stoppage time). I didn’t want to wait for pancakes—and I hadn’t been to the top of Tam in a while—so I continued solo to the summit before making my way back home.

Of course, the bridge looked like winter on the way out…

6.6 miles in total this morning with an overall pace of 9:39/mile but after the first 1.5 miles, I ran a 5k at the track with an overall time of 20:36 and a 6:38/mile pace.

18.1 miles this morning at an easy 9:14/mile pace (though I was definitely dragging for the final few miles). Longest run in well over a year.

No workouts while on vacation but got into the gym yesterday.

Actually, we did downhill mountain bike at Northstar near Lake Tahoe. It was my first time so we took a lesson then ventured out on our own. A lot of fun! Was our there 5-6hrs.

7.3 miles yesterday and while the temps are in the 80s, the dew point and humidity is lower which makes it not as miserable.

I ran about 1.5 miles to get into town and then decided to try and run every segment of every street on the SW side of downtown. I did almost 11.5 miles before I started losing track of which segments/streets I had already completed. At that point I was back to my starting point so I gave up on my quest and then ran the 1.5 miles back home.

Once I got home and looked at the map, I realized I did pretty good going N/S but really missed a bunch of E/W roads. Maybe I’ll try this again sometime but actually plan it out in advance.

Today was a good day to get out and kick the last bit of crap outta a shoe I've been riding hard since summer started. 8 miles with 5, 1k intervals at a park with the perfect perimeter for the distance. I am excited for a softer, more relaxed shoe to come but will definitely be replacing the outgoing pair when I can.

Saturday I got in some 4x4 intervals but got a 10a start and it was already hot so it was a slog. Yesterday was a gym day then an afternoon walk with my son. He is big into spears and javelins so we looked for sticks to potentially use.

@Michigan Planner - A lot of people are trying to do Every Single Street in areas or towns they live in over a period of time so you don't have to do it in one go. I did it in my old neighborhood during the pandemic, the challenge is getting the far streets so you don't duplicate the same starting roads. Surprised how the distance adds up as I think it took me 8-10 days to cover what seemed like a small neighborhood.
