I've been running a cross country course I'm creating in my back woods. Not sure how to calculate the disance, though.

10.84 yesterday...got some nice color, hoping to get some more today after work. I hate those effing runs where if I would have lapped the block once more it would have been 11 miles...but thats just my OCD.

6.2 miles in 40:20 at Central Park last night. Weather was beautiful and the park was noticably busy.

4.0 miles in 30:30 this morning. Wanted to run more, but got a late start as I tried to keep pace with coursework.

    6 Trail.

I think I would like to do more trail running in the future - there are a lot of cool trails near where I live. Do you have any favorite trail running shoes?

Yea trail running is about 90% of mileage. Love it, much more fun for me. I've had excellent luck with New Balance and haven't had a trail shoe from any other company in years. I run with both the MT909 and some other old pair. I've got a few races in the future so a race shoe will be needed soon. Looking at either these: http://www.newbalance.com/performanc...roducts/MT100/ or These: http://sportiva.com/products/prod/530 I've never ran in La Sportiva but have heard great things about their mountain shoes and from my experience with their climbing shoes, the quality and rubber tack is second to none.

They're alright...my calves still get sore from time to time, but its really helped my core more than usual. I also did about 24 miles in three days after a long and light winter, and my bones don't ache, just my calves a bit...

When well rested, I feel like I'm faster in these than I would be in a regular shoe.

about 9 miles in slightly over 1 hr. I never get tired from jogging at this pace, I just end up getting bored.
